Strengthen and develop the Supreme Court of Victoria's online communication capability to build connections with court users and the Victorian community.

The Supreme Court of Victoria is the highest court in Victoria dealing with the state's most serious criminal and civil cases and is comprised of the Court of Appeal and the Trial Division. While most cases are heard in Melbourne, the Supreme Court is a court for all Victorian's that endeavours to hear matters in the region of origin where possible.

The Supreme Court recognises that its people are integral to its ability to meet and exceed community expectations and to achieve its goal of being an outstanding superior court.

The Digital Coordinator will assist in developing the Court's online communications capability to strengthen connections with the Victorian community and Court users. The position works directly with the Communications and Engagement Manager and team and will work close with Court staff and judicial officers.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Managing and developing content on the Court's website, working with technical support providers to continuously develop the Court's online communication capability.
  • Monitoring the Court's social media platforms and assisting with the development of the Court's strategic use of social media and digital channels.
  • Leading the redevelopment of webcasting procedures, functionality and support across the Court.

To be successful in the role, you will provide guidance and advice to Court staff on website and digital communication best practice. You will also demonstrate sound judgement and a high degree of diplomacy when dealing with judicial officers and staff to ensure outcomes are based on contemporary digital communication practice.
