The Supreme Court of Victoria is the highest court in Victoria and comprises the Court of Appeal and the Trial Division. The Court deals with major criminal and civil matters, plus appeals against decisions of lower courts.

About the Role
Judicial Registrars at the Supreme Court of Victoria are seeking legally qualified individual to be their Associates. The successful candidate will require excellent written and oral communications skills, organisational skills and the ability to work in a team environment. The Associate will be required to provide high-level legal support and administrative services both in chambers and in the court room.
Hybrid working arrangements and generous leave entitlements are a feature of this role.
About You
The role requires excellent time management skills, an ability to prioritise workload, a strong customer service focus and a capacity to communicate at all levels. The successful candidate will be legally qualified and have strong legal research skills, interpersonal and organisational skills. Post admission experience is preferred.
Duties include;
- Necessary administration and case management
- Legal research
- Clerking in court (including virtually)
- Liaising with practitioners, court staff and members of the public
- Electronic document management
- Managing the Judicial Registrar's diary
- Assisting judicial mediations
