All funds are held, invested and administered by the Associate Judge of the Court, the Senior Master. FIC provides support and services for over 6,000  beneficiaries.

FIC seeks a technical, hands-on Senior Software Developer who will serve as the software coding subject matter expert (SME) for all software development, including peer review. The role supports the Software Development Manager in sprint planning through sprint release and retro, acting as the secondary Scrum Master. The role is responsible for providing technical solutions regarding code and design by using industry best practices to ensure a quality product is delivered within each sprint. The position will report to the Software Development Manager.

Key to this role will be to:

  • Use specialist knowledge to write well-designed, maintainable, and testable software code.

  • Integrate software components into the existing, fully functional software system.
  • Develop, maintain, and support automation pipelines that enable safe change deployment at scale using industry best practices.
  • Maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery processes and practices.
  • Focus on understanding stakeholder issues to continually improve on ways to automate and improve development and release processes.
  • Perform system maintenance, including modifications, error correction and testing of existing information systems.
  • Provide professional leadership and mentoring within the team.

To be successful in this role, you should be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Demonstrated experience working as a senior developer or team leader in the SCRUM software development team.
  • Demonstrated experience in modern application coding languages, with a critical focus on C#, .Net and JavaScript.
  • Demonstrated experience in software delivery life cycle tools and processes.
  • Product experience in Atlassian solution stack, including Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
  • Information Technology qualification is highly desirable.
  • Experience in MS SQL advantageous.

Certification in ITIL Foundation is advantageous.

At FIC, we continually strive to create a high-performance workplace characterised by creativity, innovation, and quality delivery.  FIC is committed to building a diverse workforce and inclusive culture, providing a safe and respectful workplace and has zero tolerance for violence against women.
