Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.

Juries Victoria is responsible for providing a jury system that delivers outstanding service and inspires community confidence. This responsibility is met by working with Victorian Courts to ensure the demand for juries is met and that the jury experience for citizens is valuable.
About the Role
The Juries Act 2000 provides for the operation and administration of a system of trial by jury that equitably spreads the obligation of jury service amongst the community and makes jurors more representative of the community.
As the Circuit Jury Coordinator, you will provide essential operational support to judges and their staff on circuit, as well as to the Senior Registrar and Juries Victoria's leadership team. Acting as the primary point of contact for judges and their staff during jury trials, you will also serve as the key link between local circuit operations and Juries Victoria's leadership team, contributing to planning and forecasting for your jury district.
Key accountabilities include:
- Responding to phone and counter enquiries and provide accurate information about jury service
- Attending court and liaising with judges, court staff, and other stakeholders to facilitate successful empanelment for trials
- Performing administrative tasks and maintain accurate records
- Using initiative and sound judgement to provide high-level, confidential operational support to judges and their staff, senior registrars and JV managers
- Overseeing a range of operational duties supporting circuit activities, including those associated with JV's jury management system (JMS), as well as stakeholder management
- Supporting JV managers in the forecasting for; the summonsing of; and the communicating with citizens summoned as jurors in circuit locations to meet the listing demands of courts
- Contributing to the identification and resolution of complex and sensitive operational issues
- Overseeing the local-based induction and training of judges and their staff on circuit, as well as registry and JV staff as required
- Delivering orientation to panels of prospecitve jurors and be the primary contact responsible for facilitation of jury empanelments
