At the VBA things are growing and changing, as we move into a more proactive inspections and regulation environment. As such we are looking at boosting the ranks and adding additional expertise to the team to ensure that the daily inspections targets are met and scheduled in a timely manner.

The Role

In this key role that supports the inspections team, you will be responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Attending to inbound and outbound customer calls (high volume), raising escalations where necessary
  • Schedule onsite plumbing inspections with licensed plumbing practitioners in line with the VBA's risk-based inspection regime
  • Schedule inspections of rectified plumbing work that has resulted from a previously failed inspection.
  • Allocate and communicate the scheduled inspections to relevant VBA Compliance Inspectors
  • Coordinate, record and communicate cancellations, by consumers or plumbing practitioners, of booked inspections
  • Conduct desk-top re-inspections with licensed plumbing practitioners to ensure that minor rectification issues have been resolved from previously failed inspections
  • Schedule targeted inspections as required by the Team Leader / Manager

Essential Criteria

  • Demonstrated experience within an inbound/outbound call centre environment
  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of high-level administrative support within a corporate environment to a high standard of competency
  • Ability to deliver high levels of customer service including proactively identifying customer requirements and providing effective management of inspection issues and remaining calm under pressure
  • High level verbal and written communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to deal effectively with a range of internal and external customers
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Information Technology tools including, Microsoft Office and experience in the use of databases
