Position Details

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director, 100 000 Lives Improvement program will lead the priority improvement program for Safer Care Victoria. The 100,000 Lives Improvement program sets out to deliver a measurable improvement in the lives of 100,000 Victorians by 2025 through focused initiatives across a breadth of patient care areas; from reducing readmissions for people with heart failure, reducing antibiotic prescribing in children and ensuing women have choice in the way they give birth. The 100,000 lives improvement program is organised into three keys areas: safe in our hands (preventing harm), best care best place (appropriate care) and stay home stay well (preventing readmissions).

The Director, 100 000 Lives will successfully deliver the committed improvement program of work for this cornerstone work for Safer Care Victoria. They will work collaboratively with the Executive Leadership Team of SCV and with clinicians, consumers and executives across the Victorian Health Care landscape.

You will lead by example demonstrating the SCV and department values in all your interactions with staff and stakeholders.  As executive you will support a culture in your team and across the organisation that is innovative, collaborative, flexible, proactive and dedicated to delivering outstanding healthcare for all Victorians, always.

Mandatory Vaccination Policy

The department is committed to providing and maintaining a working environment which is safe and without risk to the health of its workers and clients. As it is an essential element of any role within the department that employees be able to attend work onsite and to do so safely, employees are required to be up-to-date with their vaccinations against COVID-19 as a condition of their employment. This requirement applies unless they have a medical condition which means they cannot be vaccinated against COVID -19. Therefore, the department will ask any prospective employee, who has been identified as the preferred candidate for a role within the department, to provide proof of their COVID-19 vaccination status prior to any offer of employment being made.
