Project Support Officer

The Project Support Officer assists the VICSES Community Connections Manager to plan and deliver high quality behaviour change campaign events and activities and ensures that they are delivered to a high standard. The role supports the preparation and delivery of meetings, workshops and other events that support the work of the Community Connections Business Unit and the Community Resilience and Communications Directorate. The role undertakes discrete projects or project tasks to support the implementation of the VICSES Community Resilience Strategy 2016-19 and the Community Connections Business Plan.

The Role:

The Project Support Officer assists the VICSES Community Connections Manager to plan and deliver high quality behaviour change campaign events and activities and ensures that they are delivered to a high standard.

The role supports the preparation and delivery of meetings, workshops and other events that support the work of the Community Connections Business Unit and the Community Resilience and Communications Directorate.

A current Working With Children Check is essential requirement of this role.

This position is based at the VICSES Head Office, located at 168 Sturt St, Southbank, VIC, 3006.

Your accountabilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Support the Community Connections Business Unit to implement and deliver on the Community Connections Business Plan as directed including liaison with volunteers, staff and key stakeholders.
  • Plan and lead the co-ordination of behaviour change campaign events and activities, launches and forums working closely with the Community Connections Business Unit team members.
  • Provide administrative support to Community Resilience and Communications directorate business units, including preparing correspondence and meeting minutes, financial administration, and maintaining and analysing databases relevant to the functionality of the Community Connections Business Unit.
  • Enhance the ability of the Community Resilience and Communications directorate to deliver on the business plan outcomes by supporting and contributing to the directorate's activities including liaising with other business units, regions, volunteers and external stakeholders as required to co-ordinate organisation of relevant events, forums workshops and meetings.
  • Contribute to the efficient operation of the Community Connections Business Unit  team by maintaining accurate records in accordance with VICSES policies.

You will have:

  • Strong organisational skills including the ability to project manage and prioritise tasks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of product
  • A current driver's licence
