Position Details

The Senior Review and Inquiries Officer works as part of the Inquiries and Systems Reform team to deliver on the Commission's strategic plan as directed. This role involves conducting file reviews, reviewing current policy and drafting inquiry reports that make findings and recommendations to improve the out-of-home-care and child protection systems.

In this role you will:

  • Conduct child death, individual and systemic inquiries under the supervision of team leader and manager.
  • Work with other team members on continuous improvement of the inquiry process.
  • Contribute to Commission wide planning process.

 As our ideal candidate, you will:

  • Exceptional written communication skills and experience in producing complex reports within agreed timeframes
  •  An ability to manage a case load of child death inquiries of different sizes and complexity while also assisting on larger systemic inquiry work within agreed timeframes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Knowledge of the Victorian Child Protection System is desirable
