  • Attractive VPS 6.2 salary between $147,185 - $168,473 + 10% superannuation


About the opportunity

Reporting to the Director Enablers, your key accountabilities will include:

  • Enable the Library's visitors and workforce to have access to high quality technology systems and services that keep pace with evolving needs
  • Ensure the Library's strategic goals are enabled by a multi-year asset strategy and digital maturity mindset
  • Lead the development of policies, standards and guidelines, leveraging best practices and industry frameworks
  • Manage financial accountability and sustainability, ensuring the Library benefit is maximised through value-for-money technology contracts and technology led efficiencies and automation delivered to budget
  • Oversee and contribute to the development of the technical architecture
  • Ensure stakeholders are satisfied with the Library's technology services, risk mitigation, cybersecurity posture, business continuity, access and disaster recovery
  • Ensure the Library's technology assets, including applications, systems, networks and equipment are managed throughout their lifecycle
  • Lead a collaborative team of technology professionals to ensure that work is efficiently planned, completed, reviewed and improved, and that team capability, opportunities and skills is developed to an advanced level

About you

As our ideal candidate: you will have/be:

  • A seasoned IT leader who is able to accelerate digital capabilities, drive growth and scale innovation for the organisation
  • A highly experienced senior manager who is able to oversee the delivery of branch operations, ensuring that overall strategic plan cascades to operational and team planning processes and performance plans, and deliver service excellence and high impact services that addresses the customers' needs
  • A well-rounded people leader who is able to role model ethical and inclusive leadership through decision making and interactions with people, and develop others to deliver against performance expectations and outcomes for the community
  • Extensive experience leading multidisciplinary information and communications technology teams with a design thinking and partnership approach
  • A recognised bachelor's degree in computer science, computing, information systems, information technology, computer engineering or a cognate discipline
