Position Details

Unique opportunity for a creative and innovative Senior Programmer to join an energetic team, leading the development of the Library's public and cultural events  

  • Permanent, full-time role 
  • Attractive VPS 4.1 salary between $90,067 - $102,192 + 10.5% superannuation 
  • Hybrid work available (Up to 2 days per week working from home) 

You'll be joining a dynamic Creative Programs team at the Library who design and deliver exceptional on site and digital programs including tours, events, learning and schools programs, fellowships and site-wide experiences with multiple partners that challenge, delight and inform the Library's key audiences.

Reporting to the Creative Programs Manager, your key accountabilities will include: 

  • Researching, commissioning, curating and programming contemporary and innovative cultural experiences and events IRL and online, of differing scales and formats for diverse audiences 
  • Identifying and securing outstanding artistic talent and bringing exceptional networks of creatives into the Library's programs 
  • Working collaboratively with the Production and Marketing teams, along with key stakeholders including artists, creative organisations and external partners 
  • Negotiating agreements with artists, presentersand partners to ensure the successful development of audience engagement experiences 
  • Maintaining project management plans to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and to agreed specifications 
  • Contributing to program evaluation, continuous improvement program and application of lessons learned 
  • A valid Working with Children Check card or ability to obtain one prior to commencement
