Position Details
- Work closely with a variety of stakeholders, including Traditional Owners in their impact in land management directions
- Lead the team planning for the future of Victoria's parks and reserves
- Opportunity to join the Directorate leadership, influencing the culture and programs of the Division.
About the role
As the Senior Manager Park Management Planning, you will maintain and implement the statewide framework for multi-park management planning. You will be responsible for:
- Overseeing the place-based planning program and being an active leader for the team coordinating the development of planning.
- Providing leadership and effective management of people and financial resources within the Branch and supporting the Directorate and Division.
- Ensuring that management plans are prepared for each of Parks Victoria's landscapes in collaboration with regional teams in compliance with legislation.
- Ensuring that environment and conservation, visitor and tourism, cultural heritage, fire and emergency services, effectiveness, and community engagement matters are integrated into management plans.
- Partnering with Traditional Owners in supporting their development of joint management plans or similar plans for cultural landscapes, and in the development of management plans.

- Demonstrated experience in leading a multi-functional branch, ideally management of a medium to large team.
- Successful leadership in establishing high performance standards and promoting a positive team culture to ensure optimal team productivity and wellbeing.
- Demonstrated exceptional influential skills across the government sector.
- Demonstrated business acumen and strategic foresight in the project delivery space.
- Demonstrated experience in governance, regulation and compliance environments.
