Ready for a change, we have an exciting opportunity available for a highly motivated individualto join the leadership team at Stawell Regional Health.

The primary responsibility of the Support Services Operations Manager is to provide leadership and manage the Support Service Staff. To coordinate the resources, staff and activities of the Support Services Department to ensure best practice in the provision of food, café, environmental and accommodation services across all sites and settings.

Essential:

  • Hospitality experience

  • Demonstrated experience in supervision and management of a large team of staff

  • Relevant qualifications or working towards in business or health management and/or equivalent work experience.

  • Demonstrated experience in in the use of computer systems, (Microsoft Word, Excel and database applications) and previous experience in rostering and pay systems

  • Ability to comply with the “Behavioural Outcomes” for this role

  • Sound working knowledge of OH&S responsibilities

  • Current Australian driver's license

Desired:

  • Experience in Support Service functions within the health industry  

  • Knowledge of safe working practices, including manual handling principles, waste management and infection control principles

  • Knowledge of cleaning and infection control standards and auditing systems applicable to a health service environment

  • Demonstrated ability in driving and leading teams to deliver high quality service, within budgetary objectives

  • Demonstrated and highly developed communication and interpersonal skills

  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate – relevant to health

  • Highly developed project management capabilities

  • Experience in tender processes and contract management
