About the role
The Technical Advice and Review Branch determine tax objections, issue private rulings and provide technical tax information to clients and staff.  Senior Review/Technical Officers:

  • Interpret and apply complex tax legislation and case law to independently manage a portfolio of tax technical matters,
  • Prepare reports, objection determinations and private rulings, and
  • Mentor and review other staff members' work.

Successful applicants will have strong legislative interpretation, research and analytical skills, excellent communication skills, and be able to work independently.

A relevant qualification in law or commerce will be well regarded.
