The role

We are looking for a HR Services Manager to lead a team of six specialist HR professionals who deliver a range of HR services and initiatives.

To be successful in this role you will be an experienced people leader with a strong generalist HR Services background and experience across the entire employee lifecycle. You'll be comfortable working in a fast-paced and high-volume environment, and proficient using data and insights to improve service levels and drive efficiency.

The role will lead and develop the HR Services team and manage the provision of generalist HR lifecycle and employment services, advice and support to SRO employees, and management with a focus on responsiveness, service, and efficiency.


The HR Services team is responsible for delivery of the following key HR services:

• HR advisory services.

• Recruitment programs and recruitment project initiatives.

• HR administration/contracts of employment.

• Position evaluation and classification.


Key responsibilities

Reporting to the HR Branch Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading and developing a team of HR professionals who provide high level analysis, expert advice and support to managers and staff on all employee life cycle matters and people management functions including workforce planning, policy development and implementation.
  • Providing strong leadership and delivery of local HR Services, ensuring strong customer focus, prioritisation, collaboration and value add.

The ideal candidate

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience in leading and delivering a full range of HR services.
  • Demonstrated experience and capability with HR process improvements and preparing and delivering concise and accurate reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide clear and relevant advice on a range of Human Resource matters, particularly on HR policy, HRIS design and implementation.
