The opportunity
Within our Business Technology Services division, we support customers and employees by modernising our revenue management systems. We're moving towards cloud-based platforms to provide faster processing, greater integrations, new security features and case management solutions.
The Senior Tester provides specialist testing services and advice in relation to production applications and project implementations. The role involves undertaking and managing test processes, providing quality assurance processes and reporting and evaluating the effectiveness of testing processes.
Reporting to Testing Team Leader, your responsibilities include:
- Creating and maintaining test cases, including automation tests
- Executing test cases and accurately recoding results
- Applying various testing methodologies and disciplines, including functional and regression testing, agile practices and adherence to style and accessibility standards
- Providing quality assurance services in cross functional teams.
Who we are looking for
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the testing of computer systems and testing methodologies
- Experience in translating functional requirements, specifications and user stories into documented test plans, cases and steps
- Experience in the application of test processes throughout the software development lifecycle
- Ability to independently prioritise, plan and monitor own and team workloads
- Good problem solving skills with an ability to gather information, analyse risks and make sound judgements
- Experience as key participant in IT project delivery including cross functional teams
- Experience in contemporary test tools and IT support systems including automation tools.
