Scrum Master
- At least one (1) ongoing and two (2) fixed term roles in the Business Technology Services (BTS) Division
- Salary $114,830 - $125,735 plus 10.5% superannuation – VPS Grade 5.2
- Based in Melbourne /Ballarat with flexibility to work from home

The opportunity
The primary purpose of the Scrum Master is to provide leadership to agile teams delivering work that forms part of the IT Strategic Plan and BTS operational support.
Reporting to the Release Train Engineer (RTE), you will
- Lead and facilitate agile ceremonies and events at the team level such as daily stand-up meetings, iteration/sprint planning, sprint demonstrations and retrospectives
- Ensure that agile delivery artefacts (product/sprint backlogs, Kanban boards etc) are developed and maintained in accordance with industry good practice and agreed quality standards
- Work with the RTE faciliate the teams participation in program level ceremonies and events such as PI Planning, Inspect & Adapt workshops, system demonstrations and ‘scrum of scrums'
- Faciliate the day to day running of cross functional agile teams – resolve conflicts and obstacles or roadblocks that occur
- Work with Product Owners to manage backlogs, priorities and requests
Who we are looking for
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience as a Scrum Master within an IT setting, including proven record of successful delivery of IT based products/solutions, working with solution delivery teams including working within an SDLC framework
- Demonstrated understanding of, and experience in, the events, artefacts and methods of agile practice (with a strong preference for SAFe practices) including the ability to adapt and apply fit for purpose management techniques
- Highly developed servant leadership, collaborative and interpersonal skills
