The opportunity
The Manager, Contracts and Commercial is responsible for leading the contract and commercial management of complex ICT and service provider arrangements, ensuring performance, compliance, and value‑for‑money while supporting critical business and transformation outcomes.
Reporting to the Executive Director, Business Technology Services, you will be responsible for:
- Leading the end‑to‑end management of complex, high‑value and high‑risk contracts across their lifecycle, from establishment through to expiry or transition.
- Ensuring contracts are administered in accordance with Victorian Government Purchasing Board (VGPB) policies.
- Providing expert commercial advice to senior leaders on pricing structures, risk allocation, incentives, variations, and commercial trade‑offs.
- Leading negotiation of contract variations, extensions, and commercial amendments, ensuring outcomes align with organisational and whole‑of‑government objectives.
Who we are looking for
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- demonstrated ability to lead the end-to-end management of complex, high-value/high-risk contracts and commercial arrangements.
- experience providing expert commercial advice and leading negotiations to secure outcomes that protect the organisation and improve performance.
- demonstrated ability to identify, assess, and manage contractual, financial, operational, and reputational risks,
