Team Leader – Investigations Ballarat Branch
- At least one (1) ongoing role and one (1) fixed-term role (5 months) in the Investigations Branch, Ballarat, Compliance Division
- Salary $128,635 - $140,849 plus 12% superannuation – VPS Grade 5.2
- Based in Ballarat, with hybrid working arrangements

The opportunity
The Team Leader is responsible for leading and overseeing a team of investigators conducting complex investigations and audit activities in the Investigations Ballarat Branch. This role provides support, advice and guidance to team members by setting priorities, managing workloads, in accordance with approved SRO compliance activities.
Reporting to the Area Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Managing and leading a large team of Investigators/Auditors.
- Managing and overseeing the conduct of sensitive and/or complex investigations and audits by individuals or teams.
- Setting priorities and manage workloads by effective delegation and resource allocation.
- Managing team performance effectively through mentoring, counselling and conflict resolution.
- Contributing to the planning of strategic compliance activities.
Who we are looking for
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- People management experience in leading, motivating, performance managing and mentoring a team of investigators/auditors.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A record of achievement in a compliance or related function.
- Experience in interpreting and applying complex legislation in a taxation or revenue field.
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline is highly desirable.
