Branch Manager, Debt Management

  • One (1) ongoing role in the Debt Management Branch, Corporate Services Division
  • Salary $162,077 plus 12% superannuation – VPS Grade 6.2
  • Based in Melbourne CBD, with hybrid working opportunities

The opportunity

The Branch Manager is responsible for leading the Debt Management Branch, which is responsible for the management and collection of outstanding debts. This includes negotiating payment arrangements, undertaking appropriate debt recovery activities, including legal actions and debt write offs, as well an actively managing the Customer Error Payment Allocation (CEPA) account.  

Reporting to the Executive Director, Corporate Services, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing the collection and resolution of outstanding debts with agreed targets and within the confines of applicable legislation. 
  • Embedding operational disciplines, including quality improvement, productivity initiatives, risk management and consistent performance delivery against relevant key performance indicators (KPI's).
  • Reviewing, identifying and implementing process improvement strategies
  • Managing and constantly striving to improve employee engagement within the Branch

  • Demonstrated senior management experience leading a debt management or operational function
  • Proven ability to build positive and effective stakeholder relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a high performing customer centric team
  • High level conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills to develop innovative solutions to complex situations
