HR Business Partner, Human Resources Branch
- Ongoing role in the Human Resources Branch, People, Culture and Capability Division
- Salary $114,830 plus 10.5% superannuation – VPS Grade 5.2
- Based in Melbourne CBD or Ballarat GovHub, with flexibility to work from home
- Travel between sites is required

The opportunity
The role provides expert HR advice to all staff and supports several senior leaders across three portfolios as a key member of their leadership teams. You will be responsible for providing both strategic and operational HR advice and support to these client portfolios, building leader capability, and working to create an inclusive environment.
It also plays a critical role in developing and implementing HR policy and procedure, workforce planning, selection and induction, reward and recognition, performance management, change management and with a strong focus on employee relations.
Who we are looking for
To be successful in this role, you will have a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Human Resources Business Partner and can demonstrate:
- Extensive specialist contemporary knowledge and experience in the application of the industrial framework applicable to the Victorian Public Service, including VPS Common Policies and relevant legislation.
- Highly developed conceptual, analytical and research skills. Has an aptitude for flexible and innovative problem solving to develop practical HR solutions in a competing work environment. Experience in case managing a range of human resource matters
- Proven ability to develop project plans and successfully manage the implementation of multiple projects including major change initiatives.
