  • Salary $113,022 plus 12% superannuation – VPS Grade 5
  • Based in Melbourne CBD or Ballarat, with hybrid working arrangements

The opportunity  
The Learning Specialist is responsible for leading a portfolio of work that focuses on building people capability and enhancing culture at the SRO.  Working in a team of learning professionals, the role leads the design, development, and delivery of high quality, fit for purpose learning experiences and solutions that drive employee engagement, improve individual and organisational performance, and contribute to the achievement of the SRO's strategic goals.

Reporting to the Team Leader Learning and Development, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of learning solutions that facilitate and enhance individual and organisational performance.
  • Providing expert advice and high quality consulting services that are responsive to business needs and balance Branch objectives with organisational priorities. 
  • Partnering with business areas to proactively identify learning and development needs, determine potential solutions and work collaboratively to achieve agreed outcomes.

 

Who we are looking for
To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven ability to design, deliver, implement, and evaluate learning and development programs and initiatives that apply contemporary learning concepts and innovative thinking to support the achievement of business objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide consultancy and advice to managers and employees in relation to people-focused initiatives and to use critical thinking skills to solve problems and implement workable solutions.
  • Well-developed influencing and negotiation skills and demonstrated experience in building and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with others and work effectively as a member of a high performing team that delivers quality outputs.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills that meet target audience needs, including the ability to plan, develop, and deliver clear and comprehensive reports, briefings, and presentations.
