Position Details

The position of Financial Accountant is responsible for managing the Accounts Receivables requirements of Sustainability Victoria (SV) and providing operational support, quality customer service and advice to a broad range of staff.

This role is key to ensuring compliance with the Financial Management Act, SV Act & regulations in line with the Department of Treasury and Finance (DTF) & Department of Environment Land Water & Planning (DELWP) policies.

The successful candidate will be will possess strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to build productive relationships with stakeholders, share information and create business improvement opportunities.

Reporting to the Manger Finance you will work as part of a small team within the Corporate Services group. A strong team player, with the initiative to schedule and prioritise own tasks while working with minimum guidance to meet agreed operational timelines and deadlines.

Specialist/Technical Expertise

A tertiary qualification in Accounting or finance related streams and eligible for membership of a recognised professional accounting body or progress towards becoming a CPA or CA.

This position is being offered as Fixed Term (13 months) to cover parental leave arrangements.
