    Position Details

    A recent review of the current IT landscape has informed a technology roadmap for the next three years, and we are recruiting for a capable, experienced and energised IT professional to lead and shape our future technology environment. In this diverse and interesting role you will lead a small capable team along with outsourced technology service providers. The primary focus of the Technology Manager is to lead the successful delivery of the Film Victoria Technology Strategy and to ensure the provision of information management technology, services and practices are aligned to organisational strategic and business objectives.

    Your work will contribute to Film Victoria's vision for a Victorian screen industry that is creatively and financially successful.  Your sharp, analytical mind and openness to challenging the way things are done will be greatly valued by Film Victoria.

    The ideal candidate will be directly involved in IT operations and will have previous experience in successfully leading IT services, infrastructure and support in changing environments with particular regard given for experience in:

    • Leading technology environments with mostly outsourced services.
    • Developing cloud operating models and leading cloud migration projects.
    • Developing, leading and implementing of IT Strategies.

    Specific responsibilities include:

    • Leading and developing the IT unit, including outsourced service providers, lifting the strategic internal IT capability to ensure delivery of high-quality IT services.
    • Leading and managing the Film Victoria Technology Strategy and related IT projects effectively and efficiently.
    • Providing authoritative, effective and timely advice to the Executive Leadership Team on IT policy issues relating to the operations of Film Victoria and its programs. Acting as an advocate for technology and drive good governance and control, ensuring all compliance and security needs are met.
