About the Role

If you are an experienced Networks Specialist who wants to work with a diverse range of technologies this role is for you! The role will provide you with challenging work and collaboration across the business and with customers. The role will see you working closely on the design and implementation of Complex Data Centre Network infrastructure and Customer LAN/WAN projects.

To be successful in the role you will ideally have:

  • Data Centre Switching & Routing specifically Cisco IOS/NX-OS/ Routing protocols including MP
  • Software Defined Networking Cisco ACI and VMware NSX, NSX-t 
  • Citrix NetScaler ADC and F5 Load Balancing
  • Experience in Juniper SRX , Cisco ASA , Checkpoint and Palo Alto firewalls
  • Cloud networking including AWS, Azure and integration with on-premises environments
  • Cisco Wireless and Cisco ISE/Prime/DNA/CMX/MSE exposure
  • Some knowledge of Programming (Python/Ansible) and network automation

As the successful applicant you will have the opportunity to: 

  • Leveraging your Data Centre knowledge to work closely with customers
  • Work across a wide range of networking technologies
  • Further develop through training and certifications
  • Assist the NOC by participating in the On-call Support roster. 

Initially the role will be on a fixed-term basis for 12-24 months, as you will be part of the Victorian Public Sector (VPS) you will have access to annual and sick leave as well as priority access to all position across the VPS through the Jobs Skills Exchange portal.
