We positively affect the lives of Victorians by examining government entities' effectiveness, reporting on inefficiencies, and recommending how to improve future performance.

About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Data Analytics, you will join a team of talented and highly motivated professionals with a diverse range of skills and experience.

You will aid the development, delivery and support of tailor-built tools to provide solutions to internal clients with needs unique to public sector auditing. These tools deliver insights that drive improvements in the Victorian Public Sector.

You will also assist auditors during the conduct of audits and analysis of data by mapping datasets, providing platform troubleshooting and identify and resolve issues with data quality.

About You

Candidates with the following areas of expertise are encouraged to apply:

  • Minimum 12 months experience developing extraction, transformation and loading solutions
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders with a wide variety of technical knowledge, including the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Solutions focussed approach using analytical skills and professional scepticism to identify and resolve workplace issues

You're a proficient user of the SSIS and T-SQL platforms. We'd also prefer you to have experience with Azure Infrastructure as a service and Platform as a service.

It's not essential to have tertiary qualifications in IT or similar, but if you do it's a bonus!
