Position Details

About The Role

In this role, you will be reporting to the Director Data Analytics and supporting a number of performance audit engagements.  Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Work closely with other data analytics professionals and auditors within our Performance Audit and Financial Audit business areas to undertake audits and deliver quality work within agreed budgets and timeframes
  • Manipulate large and complex datasets (this includes cleaning data, running basic checks to assess data quality, and loading / transforming data into our SQL database environments)
  • Use advance sophisticated visualisation and other analytics tools to assist in producing quality outputs that aid in the planning and execution of our audits and in the reports we publish
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by participating in meetings / debriefs and sharing lessons learned
  • Assist with the development and implementation of business improvement projects as required.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • To have recently completed tertiary qualification in one or more of the following: Finance, Accounting, Data Science, Technology, Economics or Mathematics.
  • Prior experience in working within a data analytics environment, and using visualisation / programing tools (e.g. QlikSense, Power BI, etc.) would be advantageous but is not a requirement of this role.
  • Have confident and adaptive communication, and stakeholder management skills.

We are seeking someone who can start immediately however commencement dates are negotiable.
