About The Role

In this role, you will be reporting to the Director of Information Systems Audit and supervise a team of information systems auditors supporting a number of financial audit and performance audit engagements.  Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Liaising with financial audit and performance audit teams to understand and incorporate their requirements into the annual IT audit work plan
  • Providing thoughtful, considered and practical ways to maximise the value of our IT audits for our financial audit and performance audit teams and demonstrating innovative problem solving and testing techniques
  • Managing IT audit engagements in financial audit and performance audit by guiding and mentoring a team of analysts
  • Collaborating with the different Technical Audit business areas such as data analytics and audit quality to provide appropriate technical support as required.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • At least 5 years of experience working full time within the IT audit (external/internal audit) or IT consulting field
  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or related fields
  • Accreditation as a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or similar relevant professional certification
  • Strong experience in IT audit, consulting and/or other similar professions
  • Strong communication skills and experience in managing multiple concurrent audit engagements
  • Experience in training and mentoring a junior team of IT auditors
  • Sound track record of managing professional teams, their people and their work performance
  • Experience in using data analytics related dashboard tools such as QlikSense/Power BI is desirable but not required
  • Additional tertiary qualifications in Business, Accounting, Commerce or Economics would be well regarded, as would knowledge of emerging technologies (e.g. machine learning and artificial intelligence)
