About the role and your responsibilities:  

As the Governance Officer, you will primarily be responsible for supporting Park's Victoria's management systems framework and will assist the Senior Governance Officer to ensure its continual improvement. You will also support the organisation's governance document framework and the implementation of high-quality processes, methods, and guidance to staff. Your day to day responsibilities will include overseeing the corporate governance documentation management system to ensure the system's documentation kept up to date, providing advice relating to Parks Victoria's compliance framework and assist with the development of regular governance reporting to the Board and Executive Team.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Law, Business or Public Policy or equivalent (essential)
  • The ability and experience in providing expert technical advice and support in the development, integration, and maintenance of quality management systems
  • Effective stakeholder management skills
  • A current employee Working with Children Check before commencing employment with us

The People, Safety & Risk Division provides advice and support for legal, human resources, health & safety, statutory compliance, governance, information management, audit, and risk functions for Parks Victoria. The division provides the tools and frameworks to ensure efficient and effective governance processes, including risk and information management frameworks that can assist management to make informed decisions within an acceptable risk profile.
