Position Details

Qualified Chef / Trade Cook

  • Excellent working hours, no split shifts or late nights!
  • Rotate through all sections within the kitchen

Applications are sought from suitably qualified Chefs with previous commercial cooking experience to work in the Food Services Department at Echuca Regional Health.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing all menu items according to recipe provided
  • Supervise the plating of meals to ensure visual appeal     
  • Maintain all records associated with the Food Safety Program
  • Provide recipe ideas and suggestions for improvement     

Our team requires someone who has:

  • Trade Certificate
  • Proven experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen     
  • High-level awareness of  safety and privacy     
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Food Standards Code including Allergen Management / Control
  • Excellent communication skills     
  • The  ability to prioritise workloads

This position requires completion of a satisfactory National Police Check and (where relevant) provision of a Working With Children Check and check on the Disability Worker Exclusion Scheme prior to appointment.
