The Recruitment Services branch within People and Culture provides expert advice and support to the Department of Justice and Regulation on all recruitment related matters, including attraction, selection, redeployment and other recruitment and retention practices. Working within the department's strategic objective of “building a high performing justice system”, Recruitment Services delivers consultative, progressive, innovative, fair and ethical recruitment solutions.

About the Role

The Team Leader, Reporting and Compliance is responsible for the maintenance and integrity of the Recruitment Services resourcing and program management budgets. This position will provide financial oversight, reporting and budget administration for multiple recruitment activities and projects. 

Key duties include:

• coordination of month end reporting processes
• providing analysis and reporting support to the Recruitment Services leadership team and Corrections Victoria Executive
• prepare and monitor budgets and accounts to ensure deadlines are met, and any risks identified
• build and maintain professional credibility, and trusted relationships with key stakeholders, to ensure that finance deadlines are met, and budgetary outcomes are in line with policy.

Reporting directly to the General Manager Recruitment Services, the Team Leader, Reporting and Compliance leads a small team who ensure timely and accurate processing of all invoices and compliance with government processes.

In this position you will be responsible for the provision of real-time data and supporting stakeholders in the interpretation of information, identifying trend analysis and the provision of support commentary.

About You

As our successful candidate, you will demonstrate:

  • reporting, forecasting and budgeting experience in a corporate or service delivery function
  • statistical knowledge and the ability to analyse complex data to influence high level decisions and process improvements
  • experience managing external providers
  • expert computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel
  • excellent problem solving skills
  • strong communication skills.

A degree in commerce, finance or business related field is highly desirable.
