Position Details

The VBA are seeking a Team Leader, Building Audit who will be responsible for designing, delivering and evaluating the VBA's Building Audit Program to assure the integrity and reliability of the building system, and, effectively measure and monitor the compliance of building practitioner work in Victoria.

The position is responsible for leading a small team of technical specialists and analytical support to undertake key activity across the Building Audit function. The position requires conceptual thinking, technical accuracy and real-time translation of information to evaluate compliance measures and regulatory intelligence.

Key Selection Criteria

To be successful in this position, you will need to demonstrate:

  •   Experience designing, leading and delivering audit programs or projects within a building or plumbing environment.
  •   Strong team management and leadership skills, including the ability to actively plan, delegate and coach to realise team potential.
  •   Project management, technical knowledge, governance expertise and procurement capabilities, including delivering outcomes within scope and meeting milestones within budgetary requirements.
  •   Capacity to develop strong working relationships to develop audit priorities and to enable audit outcomes to be utilised across the VBA.
  •   Sound conceptual and analytical ability, with experience aligning program objectives and outcomes to regulatory compliance requirements.

Salary Details

Base salary in the Grade 5 range of $92,253 - $111,619 per annum (plus 9.5% super), will be negotiated with the successful candidate, depending on skills and experience.
