Position Details

We are seeking an experienced Project Officer who will be responsible for assisting the Technical and Regulation Division by providing specialist project and technical expertise.

The role contributes to the monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of the performance of the building regulatory framework and includes conducting/coordinating research, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, and coordinating key communication initiatives.


Key Selection Criteria

To be successful in this position, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in a similar role preferably in the government sector or a regulated industry, with demonstrated ability to apply strategic thinking to projects from research and planning, to development of strategic responses and plans within a policy or regulatory framework.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills including identifying needs, developing relationships, maintaining communication.
  • Demonstrated experience managing tasks autonomously, including ability to liaise with stakeholders, produce project plans, prioritise demands, and monitor performance.
  • Demonstrated experience in contract management.
  • Excellent written communication skills with demonstrated ability to prepare clear, concise and accurate reports, project briefings, presentations and policy recommendations on complex issues.


Salary Details

Base salary in the Grade 4 range of $81,354 - $92,304 per annum (plus 9.5% super), will be negotiated with the successful candidate, depending on skills and experience.
