About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Trade Manager to bring a wealth of experience in marketing and business development, including well-developed research and analytical skills to the Victorian Government Trade & Investment office in Bangalore.

Reporting to the Director – Trade & Industry, India, you will be responsible for developing and managing a range of business activities and projects in the India region. Based within the Representative Office for the Victorian (Australia) Government in Bangalore, the position will manage marketing and trade projects and programs for the office and the Commissioner for Victoria to South Asia.

The role requires an experienced professional with knowledge of India's economy and business environment, with a strong knowledge of at least one of the Victorian government's priority sectors (medical technology or environmental services or food and beverage).

Working in a small and supportive team environment, the development of strong relationships internally and with key stakeholders is vital to the role and requires someone who is flexible, solution oriented, confident and diplomatic, with excellent communication skills. The position will work collaboratively with the Director - Trade & Industry, India, as well as colleagues based at Head Office in Melbourne, and across other international Victorian Government Trade & Investment offices.

Successful Candidate

The successful candidate for this locally engaged position will be responsible for all arrangements in relation to relocation expenses (if applicable), their accommodation and day-to-day living expenses. Benefits include:

Employment Eligibility
