Position Details
- Utilise your administrative expertise to provide support and advice to the Enforcement and Support Services business unit
- 2 x fixed-term, full-time opportunities (1 x until 8th February 2027 and 1x 5th July 2027) to work with a high-performing and passionate team in the Victorian Public Service
- VPS Grade 3: $79,122 - $96,073 plus superannuation.
About the Business Unit:
Enforcement and Support Services (ESS) sits within Fines and Enforcement Services (FES), a business unit within the Courts, Civil and Criminal Law group of the Department of Justice and Community Safety. ESS is responsible for the collection and enforcement of fines in Victoria and the administration of a range of social justice initiatives such as the Work and Development Permit Scheme (WDP).
The WDP scheme provides vulnerable and disadvantaged people with a non-financial option to address their fine debt.
About the Role:
The Information and Support Services Officer is responsible for managing a portfolio of WDP applications and providing high quality and timely customer service to our customers and partners.
Some of your duties will include:
- Providing accurate and timely advice and liaise with other Fines Victoria units, enforcement agencies, sponsors, organisations, members of the public and other interested parties on infringement and other matters arising within the jurisdiction of Fines Victoria
- Exercising professional judgement regarding the application of Standards of Service and other relevant rules, policies and guidelines to assist in the day-to-day operations of Fines Victoria, including the management of WDP applications and handling enquiries
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external key stakeholders

About You:
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
- An understanding of the infringement lifecycle, the Infringements Act 2006 and the Fines Reform Act 2014, or experience in the practical application of other legislation or policies is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to respond effectively to sensitive and complex client enquiries
- Experience in assessment and/or case management will be well regarded.
- Competent use of Microsoft Office and relevant IT systems and applications
Qualifications/Requirements:
- A relevant tertiary qualification is desirable but not mandatory.
