Position Details

  • VPSG-2 salary range $50,828 - $65,272 p.a. + super + leave loading.*
  • Working within Payroll Services, Human Resource Department located at the Victoria Police Centre, 637 Flinders Street, Docklands.

Do you want to work in a role that supports operational policing?  Would you like to be part of a fun, dynamic and diverse payroll team with flexible work conditions?  Do you have excellent customer service skills?

We will provide you with on the job training while you provide quality, timely service and support in processing personnel and payroll transactions.

Some duties will include:

  • Processing personnel and payroll transactions, ensuring compliance with legislation.
  • Developing and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Analysing and interpreting payroll reports and data.
  • Undertaking administrative tasks including maintaining personnel systems, records and files.

Skills and experience:

  • Demonstrated  interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • A demonstrated record of strong commitment and achievement in meeting customer needs.

Requirements and relevant information:

  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
  • An order of merit from this recruitment process will be created to fill both current and future ongoing and fixed term opportunities as they arise within the Payroll Services Unit. Successful applicants will remain on the order of merit for a period of up to twelve (12) months.
  • Should you be shortlisted for an interview, please ensure your availability between 8 January and 10 January 2019 to attend interviews.

*Please note that as of 1 January 2019, the VPSG-2 salary range will be $51,717 - $66,414 p.a. + super + leave loading.
