Position Details


The Senior Registration Development Officer is a key regulatory role in the Registration Operations and Development team. Reporting to the Manager, Registration Operations and Development, the Senior Registration Development Officer contributes to the operation, development and ongoing improvement of processes for the registration of Victorian disability workers and accreditation in accordance with the Disability Service Safeguards Act 2018.

Registering disability workers and accrediting training programs that qualify disability workers for registration are integral to the regulation of the Victorian disability workforce, and to safeguarding people living with disability who rely on this workforce.

The Senior Registration Development Officer leads a team to expertly assess registration applications and provide and contribute to authoritative registration advice, recommendations, and reports to the Victorian Disability Worker Commissioner (Commissioner) and the Disability Worker Registration Board of Victoria (Board) to support the performance of their legislated functions.

The Senior Registration Development Officer assists in promoting disability worker registration and engaging with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure robust registration and accreditation outcomes.

Effective communication and relationship building skills and the ability to apply legislation and operational policies to expertly assess complex registration applications, together with high order research and analytical skills, will ensure success in this role.

Are you

  • A senior officer with a high level of registration and accreditation knowledge and experience, including compliance with a range of legislative requirements and guidelines?
  • Able to build, maintain and influence effective business relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to deliver robust registration and accreditation outcomes?
  • Experienced at research and analytical report writing regarding contemporary registration and accreditation processes and practices? 
  • Able to manage a team and provide authoritative guidance and support to team members in a collaborative manner?


  1. Lead and manage a team to expertly assess registration applications and to provide and contribute authoritative and expert registration advice and recommendations to the Commissioner and the Board
  2. Resolve complex registration operational matters promptly, thoroughly and in a sustainable manner.
  3. Contribute to the ongoing improvement and development of the registration and accreditation functions of the scheme through comprehensive research, expert analysis and reporting and key stakeholder consultation.
