Position Details

What you will be doing
Reporting directly to the Director, Regulation these roles will lead a risk-based, customer centric approach to the VEC's regulatory services in political funding, disclosure and party registration (FDR). Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing political party registration, funding, and donation disclosure functions aligned with regulatory objectives and good public administration.
  • Supporting regulated entities through education, guidance and constructive compliance.
  • Partnering with the compliance and enforcement team to address and manage non-compliance.
  • Managing team performance and embedding a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Contributing to regulatory priority projects and electoral event planning.

  • Experience leading risk-based regulatory services in a complex environment.
  • The ability to lead a customer-focused regulatory model that supports education, guidance, and responsive engagement.
  • Proven ability to lead high-performing teams, set strategic priorities, and embed a culture of continuous improvement.
