Position Details
About the Team
The Roll Products, Systems and Compliance team sits within Enrolment Operations. We are responsible for the upkeep of the software systems which support the register of electors, the electoral rolls and other data generated from the system, and ensuring that access to this information complies with our strict privacy, security and information management requirements.
About the role
Reporting directly to the Manager, Roll Production, Systems and Compliance, you will provide support in the coordination and production of information generated from the register of electors in a timely manner and compliant with legislation. You will also take a lead role in the formation and delivery of documentation and training in VEC Roll Management System and its use.
In this role you will play an important part in upholding Victoria's democratic systems.
- Use software to create election rolls for any State and Local Council by-elections or elections that take place.
- Develop and maintain procedural documentation and training programs to support our temporary staff as they use our systems to do their work for elections.
- Ensure that sensitive information is managed in accordance with our information management policies, with a particular focus on ensuring that elector information is appropriately secured and protected.
What you'll bring to the role
- You will be tech literate, with the ability to learn, understand and then communicate the use of our complex Roll Management System.
- You have demonstrated experience in manipulating large datasets with Microsoft Office software and text file editors.
- You will bring your experience in interpreting legislation, regulations or business policies to ensure that your work, and the procedural texts that you create for others, is compliant and of high quality.
