What you will be doing
Reporting directly to the Lead Investigator, in this role will be responsible for:
- Conducting investigations into serious, complex and sensitive breaches of the Electoral Act 2002, including intricate financial matters
- Preparing briefs, reports, correspondence, and recommendations on complex issues
- Analysing, interpreting and applying complex legal and policy issues whilst ensuring compliance with legal requirements
- Managing competing priorities that involve inflexible timelines whilst working autonomously
What you will bring to the role
- Experience in a law enforcement, legal, compliance, financial and/or regulatory discipline is highly desirable
- Demonstrated high analytical skills, with experience in the interpretation and analysing financial statements a benefit
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to prepare briefs of evidence, reports and recommendations on complex issues
- Ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced business environment, particularly during peak election periods
- A strong commitment to self-development and willingness to learn
