Position Details
THE ROLE
The Project Officer in the Aboriginal Initiatives Unit will provide administrative, logistical, secretariat and project management support to implement key aspects of Dhelk Dja: Safe our Way – Strong Cultures, Strong Peoples, Strong Families. This includes supporting the Dhelk Dja Partnership Forum and associated Dhelk Dja governance structures.
The Project Officer ensures the effective functioning of the Dhelk Dja Partnership Forum including event coordination, coordination of forum papers, preparing communications to Dhelk Dja stakeholders, managing membership lists, preparation of minutes, shared email inbox management. Administrative functions also include the processing of invoicing. Project management support is via the delivery of projects under the Dhelk Dja 3 Year Action Plan.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Provide secretariat functions as required to support the coordination and preparation of agendas, meeting papers, presentations and associated documents for the Dhelk Dja Partnership Forum and other key meetings, in adherence with defined timeframes.
- Provide event coordination as required to plan and organise events related to the Dhelk Dja Partnership Forum and its related governance structures (including but not limited to booking venues, catering and accommodation).
- Prepare accurate meeting minutes, actions and records, project management and financial records to track progress and outcomes against Dhelk Dja Partnership Forum and other government reporting requirements.
