About the role:
This role will lead the delivery of an exciting digital transformation program that is changing the way legal aid services are provided across Victoria. With a project team of around 20, you will be responsible for procuring and developing new technology platforms and services and overseeing the management of multiple projects that are being driven by client needs. Providing leadership, advice, guidance and support for VLA's digital strategy and transformation program, this role will ensure continuous improvement in change management, program management, governance, reporting and capability development for the senior executives and managers across VLA. You will work closely with the Chief Information Officer and other senior executives, managers and staff across the organisation as part of a supportive leadership team.

About you:
You will bring strong program leadership experience and a track record of delivering complex, technology-enabled reform projects to this role. You will be looking for a challenging role in a public sector environment that will draw upon your proven experience in agile principles and change management, as well as your expertise in effective ICT governance, risk management and monitoring and evaluation. Your ability to develop and leverage strong relationships with your team and stakeholders and your reputation for effectively exercising judgement and responding to different operating environments and competing priorities will see you thrive in this role. You will be committed to client centred approaches and methodologies and be excited by the opportunity to play a pivotal role in harnessing technology to improve access to justice for vulnerable and disadvantaged Victorians.

About Victoria Legal Aid:
Our vision is for a fair and just society where rights and responsibilities are upheld. With over 800 staff employed in 15 offices across Victoria, we help people with their legal problems by providing information, advice and education with a focus on the prevention and early resolution of legal problems. We also provide legal representation to those who need it most.

Employee benefits:
We offer attractive employment benefits including salary packaging (making part of your salary tax-free), flexible working arrangements, family friendly policies and opportunities for professional development. Whilst the work is challenging, you will be rewarded with a culture that is focused on achieving quality outcomes for disadvantaged Victorians.

How to apply:
Please submit a cover letter, current resume and address the key selection criteria (KSC). You must address the KSC to be considered for this role. Please also include the contact details of two referees.
