Position Summary:

Senior Engagement Officer   

The Stakeholder Engagement team is responsible for strengthening stakeholder engagement and public participation practice within the Department of Health and Human Services. The Senior Stakeholder Engagement Advisor will play a key role in the development and implementation of the department's Public Participation Framework, Stakeholder Engagement Toolkit and better practice engagement methodologies.

The Senior Engagement Officer will provide specialist advice for the planning, design, coordination, execution and evaluation of engagement initiatives. This will include working with senior internal stakeholders on the department's priority projects to shape strategic engagement plans. The successful candidate will also support the design and launch of a learning and development programme to build stakeholder engagement capability across the department.

This role is located in the Stakeholder Engagement Team within the Communications and Media Branch and will report directly to the Head of Stakeholder Engagement. Our ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, has extensive knowledge of stakeholder engagement practices and highly developed communications and interpersonal skills.
