Position Summary:

The Deputy Ombudsman assists the National Health Practitioner Ombudsman and Privacy Commissioner to fulfil her/his duties to a high standard by managing and providing leadership to the office's Complaints Unit.

The Deputy Ombudsman provides well-considered, accurate and timely advice to the National Health Practitioner Ombudsman and Privacy Commissioner (and staff) on a broad range of complex and sensitive matters relating to the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law, freedom of information, privacy, and administrative law complaints.
