About the team and role

The People & Culture (P&C) Team are seeking a passionate and energetic recruiter with strong in-house recruitment experience, who is looking for an opportunity to further develop their career.

Working closely with the P&C Operations Team, this role will manage and drive end-to-end recruitment of legal / legal support roles and high-volume student recruitment. This role will provide advice and solutions to support the VGSO's business objectives and deliver a consistent, fair and transparent approach to recruitment that is in line with the public sector best practice recruitment guidelines.

As a key member of the P&C Team, you will utilise your solid recruitment experience within either a legal / professional services environment to assist internal stakeholders with current and future targeted recruitment initiatives.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment activities across the organisation, including high volume Seasonal Clerkship and Law Graduate Programs
  • Ensure the organisation is compliant with internal processes / legislative frameworks and offer best practice recruitment advice and solutions
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Recruitment administration activities and correspondence, including the preparation of business cases / positions descriptions / advertisements and interview coordination
  • Contribute to strategic and operational P&C and VGSO projects
  • Provide P&C generalist support as required

Skills and experience

  • Previous internal / in-house recruitment experience including, high volume student recruitment programs
  • Experience within a legal, professional services and/or government environment would be highly desirable
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline is highly regarded
  • Well-developed relationship management and interpersonal skills
  • Proven track record of providing service excellence and continuous improvement
