Position Details
- Full time fixed term position up to January 2028 (part time considered)
- Salary range: $123,625 - $157,340 (pro rata) plus super plus salary packaging
- Up to $15,900 in salary packaging and hybrid WFH & office model
About the role
This role is responsible for planning, managing and overseeing significant reforms in response to legislative changes and new funding initiatives within the Criminal Law Directorate. It has a key focus on embedding proactive project management processes to support evidence-based and client-centred service change. You will use your project management and policy skills to support the Criminal Law Directorate to plan criminal law reform projects to position VLA for the future and provide advice to senior leaders on policy and strategic advocacy initiatives.
You will engage with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen collaborative relationships to enhance VLA's projects and policy capacity.
This role is based at our Melbourne CBD office on Wurundjeri Country.
About you
As our ideal candidate, you will have:
- Extensive experience in developing, implementing and managing high impact and influence projects and/or policy development.
- High level research and writing skills, including an ability to think laterally and innovatively in providing advice, strategies and solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a demonstrated ability to influence and negotiate with people across all levels of the organisation and externally.
- Excellent organisation skills and the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
