Position Details

  • Full time ongoing & maximum term position (part time 0.8FTE considered)
  • Salary range: $98,902 - $123,624 (pro rata) plus super plus salary packaging
  • Up to $15,900 in salary packaging and hybrid WFH & office model

About the role
Join a team dedicated to contributing to the safety of adults and children impacted by family violence, and to assist in reducing the incidence of family violence. This role will support Victoria Legal Aid (VLA) to develop and implement family violence service delivery improvements including providing strategic and policy advice, working on organisational initiatives and coordinating projects, community legal education, professional legal education tools and training programs and engaging with internal and external stakeholders.

This role is based at our Melbourne CBD office on Wurundjeri Country.

About you
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:

  • Substantial professional knowledge of and experience in family violence legal practice.
  • Demonstrated experience in project coordination or the capacity to quickly build those skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing well-considered advice on legal policy, reform and practice issues within limited time restraints.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
