Position Details

  • Full time maximum term position up to 12 months (part time considered)
  • Salary range: $98,902 - $123,624 (pro rata) plus super plus salary packaging  
  • Up to $15,900 in salary packaging and hybrid WFH & office model 

About the role 
The Grants and Quality Assurance team play a significant role at VLA by administering grants of legal assistance to private practitioners, who deliver the majority of legal aid services in Victoria. In this role, you will be responsible for key projects and activities across Grants and Quality Assurance and the broader Legal practice directorate.  

You will lead the establishment of the Fees Pilot project which will scope offering higher or different legal aid fees to private practitioners in one or more regional areas of low supply of lawyers to determine whether this would retain and attract lawyers to take on legally aided work in that region.  

You will also be consulting and influencing internal and external stakeholders along the full lifecycle the project. 

This role is based at our Melbourne CBD office on Wurundjeri Country.
