- Salary range: $87,799 - $98,901 (pro rata) plus super plus salary packaging
- Up to $15,900 in salary packaging and hybrid WFH & office model
- Relocation allowance offered if relocating for the role
- Multiple location: Morwell or Bairnsdale
About the role
Victoria Legal Aid (VLA) is implementing a dynamic new leadership model in our Gippsland region and is seeking dedicated Lawyers to join our growing team. In this role, you will provide high-quality legal services across family law, family violence (FV), and child protection. You will act as an advocate, deliver casework, and offer legal advice to clients, making a meaningful impact in the community.
We have the following roles available:
- 2 x full time ongoing positions (part-time applications considered)
- 1 x maximum term position up to 30 June 2025
These roles can be based at either of our Morwell or Bairnsdale office on Gunaikurnai Country.
About you
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
- A proven ability to act as an advocate, deliver legal advice, and conduct casework in family law, family violence, and/or child protection.
- Knowledge or practical experience in relevant law and procedure, particularly in family law, family violence, and/or child protection.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, staff, and external stakeholders.
- A proven ability to work collaboratively, fostering a supportive team environment.
- A current Australian practising certificate which entitles you to practise in Victoria as a government legal practitioner (mandatory).
