Position Details

  • VPSG2 range $50,077 - $64,307 p.a. + super + leave loading
  • Full time, Ongoing
  • Working within Eastern Region Division 3, located at the Shepparton Police Complex

About the role:As the successful applicant, you will report directly to the Officer in Charge of the Shepparton Crime Investigation Unit. 

Provide support and general administration to all investigative Units where relevant.

Support/assist Unit Commanders, Compliance Managers and the ED3 Crime Advisor with administrative duties regarding Registered Sex Offender Management and Compliance.

 Some of your duties will include:

  • Perform a broad range of office support and computer based tasks including preparation of reports, general correspondence, keyboard and data entry, spreadsheets and data base activities.
  • Assist in collecting, collating and basic evaluation of information in respect to intelligence data.
  • Ensure effective delivery of administrative support activities associated within the Division.
  • Assist in maintaining computer based systems for the purpose of information and intelligence gathering.
  • Assist other team members in the use of databases.
  • Undertake filing, record maintenance, archival storage and retrieval (soft and hard data formats)
  • Develop and maintain a good working relationship with other divisional members and liaise professionally and responsively with customers both internal and external to Victoria Police.


Skills and experience:

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Proven administrative background
  • A high level of communication and organisational skills
  • Proven high levels of ethical behaviour
  • A proven ability to work cohesively in a small team
  • Proven ability in the prioritisation of work with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in basic analysis.

Requirements and relevant information:

The position carries with it a requirement to support Detectives and Managers alike during the investigation and recording of all crimes including crimes against the person.  Information security is paramount and the selected applicant will be required to sign an undertaking acknowledging his/her responsibilities regarding the secure usage and distribution of information.   

Your usual place of work will be within Eastern Region Division 3, Shepparton Police Complex, 155 Welsford Street, Shepparton, however you may be required to work at any other Station within Division 3 as required.
