About the Team

The Manager R&L Systems, will lead a team dedicated to managing and maintaining applications to service the operations of registration and licencing. The position manages and reports on team resources, system operations and enhancements. The Manager R&L systems sets work priorities in line with program objectives and provides the technical input to ensure the continued functioning of the driver licence system, Vehicle registration system and applications that support the customer service centres and call centres.

About the Opportunity

The Manager R&L Systems will report to the Manager Services and Applications within
Technology Operations and work closely with service management, contract management, Security and project delivery teams to ensure the services provided by R&L systems meet the needs of the Registration and Licencing business stakeholders, and maintain a robust service is provided to our business stakeholders and the public ensuring continuity of service.

About you

The skills and experience required in the position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead the creation of strategic plans, application roadmaps, strategic decision making regarding the management of registration and licencing applications and services, and the service delivery through the engagement of key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply expert knowledge and experience in identifying and implementing performance measures to continuously improve performance, delivery and service availability.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply innovative and specialist problem solving skills to resolve novel or complex problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate, mentor, coach and develop team members to achieve business outcomes.
  • Significant relevant applications management or support experience in a senior position in large or medium sized organisations.
